It only started behaving when the fuel dropped to a quarter of a tank and it drove perfect after that-less than 20 litres.Check DPF saturation level in OPEL Vectra CDTi engines (Z19DTL, Z19DT, Z19DTH) using ELM327 BT interface. Do you have the engine running when you tick the force Regen option or tick it then start the car? I've tried adding forte DPF cleaner before I drove to Wales and back this weekend from Nottingham but it's still playing up. I know that the engine/exhaust needs to be up to temperature and at least 20 litres of fuel in the tank to do a Regen. I've ordered a modified cable off eBay to force a static Regen and wondered if anyone has done it before and what the procedure is? I had a cable before with my mk3 because I changed the injectors and needed to recode the new ones so I should be ok but I recall that when you read the codes on the mk3 the engine cut out if it was running.
I can tell when it's trying because the auto gear changes become jerky and it's hesitant when pulling away.

It's a powershift so I've been using it in manual mode with the cruise control on to keep the revs up but it's still not doing it. I've driven up and down A roads and motorways but the fans always running when I switch it off even after an hours driving at 2500 rpm. I'm having trouble with my 60 plate 163 in that it keeps trying to do a Regen on the DPF but never seems to do it.
